We've seen a number of tablet owners use a wired or wireless keyboard to enhance productivity. It really is a simple way to do a lot more with a tablet. Lenovo has added a row of function keys that includes volume, brightness, lock, back, home and other useful keys that make it easy to control the tablet with just the keyboard. You also get a headphone jack, 2 USB ports, microSD slot as well as a microHDMI to connect with a larger display. Although, the keyboard is permanently attached to the tablet, it can rotate to 300 degrees. This enables two usage modes – a laptop mode and a stand mode. While the laptop mode is great for working on documents, the stand mode is ideal for watching videos and browsing the web. Performance from the tablet was good. We had no issues playing full HD videos and most games. The 1GB RAM did prove to be a limiting factor when multiple apps were running. Sound output from the speakers was exceptionally loud making the A10 great for multimedia. As against the claimed 9-hour battery life, we got close to 7 hours. Considering the price, the Lenovo A10 is a great buy and high value. Do keep in mind that you can get the Acer Aspire V5 with a 11.6-inch display (non touch) and Windows 8 OS ( 23,990) by spending a little more.
