GADGET GIZMO REVIEW  Karbonn Titanium X  The Karbonn Titanium X feels much heavier than other such smartphones and has a different design too, with the rounded top and bottom. Plus, the bezels at the side are quite narrow, making the screen appear larger. Still, it doesn’t feel like a premium smartphone – not that it claims to be.     The camera of the Titanium X is a disappointment, as images lack detail, have a lot of noise, and it’s slow to focus – you won’t be able to click a quick shot without it being blurry. And when you use the shooter indoors or in low-lit environments, the photos come out grainy and the colours are off.     The Titanium X is fine for regular usage – light social networking, email, some browsing, chat, a few games – but not when you want to do a lot of multi-tasking, launch a heavy app quickly, or when you want to play high-def games like FIFA 14. It starts lagging and is an unpleasant experience.     The phone gets good network and the 16GB of internal memory will let you easily install apps. The battery is a problem though. On average usage, you’d get about 11 hours without a charge, and on pure video playback, it runs out in less than 3 hours. If you want to read a lot or watch many movies in this budget, the Karbonn Titanium X is the clear winner with the best screen. The One Glass Solution for the screen gives it wide viewing angles and it’s clearly legible in direct sunlight too. But where it shines is how vibrant the colours are – even if you put away the fact that it’s a FullHD screen, the deep black levels and the good colour rendition make this a striking screen. And yes, it gets really bright!
