The Atom Supremus looks and feels like any Samsung smartphone you may have seen: glossy plastic, solid build quality, and a physical Home button. But the kind of specs you get are far better than a Samsung in the same range.
The camera is among the better ones in this price range, with a fast shutter speed to boot. The colours aren’t perfectly accurate but they’re better than most. Perhaps most impressively, it shoots decent images in low-lit environments.
The screen of the Atom Supremus has 1280x720 pixels resolution with wide viewing angles, and it’s legible in direct sunlight too. Unfortunately, there is no scratch-resistant glass protection for this phone, which is a big miss at this price.
The performance is as good as any other phone in this range, and you can’t expect anything more from the call quality. Plus, there’s 16GB of built-in memory. The battery is decent too, giving you about 13 hours of average usage – enough to get through most work days.
The Atom Supremus excels at music playback. We tested it against high-end smartphones and music players, and the Supremus was able to match or exceed all of them. With a deep, thumping bass and sharp high notes, the music sounds great. And the Supremus manages to go higher in volume than any other smartphone we checked. Add the built-in FM radio and this is the phone to buy for someone who wants to listen to tunes on the move.
